Kokayi is an American-Ghanaian citizen, who has been engaged in African traditional dance since the time he lived in Ghana (2014-2021). He was heavily involved with the Dance Department at the University of Ghana and continued to dance with a group in the Central region of Ghana called Akomapa. When he was a student at Emory, he was a part of BAM step team as well as TNT Hip-Hop dance crew. However, the 7 years he spent in Ghana gave him a new appreciation for African cultural dance forms. Now Kokayi fuses his knowledge of hip-hop and traditional African dance moves to teach Afrobeats dance classes.  He is very excited to bring the vibes of West Africa to Atlanta.
