A Dancer's Stretch

Acquire the flexibility of a dancer by stretching in the way dancers do. You don't need a background in dance to reap the benefits of this training. Following a brief warm up (to prepare your body for optimal results), this meditative and flowing stretch moves ever so slowly from one position to another like a beautiful dance. The stretch segment begins with restorative therapy to align the spine and lubricate the joints, then moves into more aggressive stretches which use breath to break through limitations.

Applying the principles of ballet to tone and sculpt your body, join the fabulous Bryn Chafin in Ballerobica, a concept fitness class which proves you don't need any prior knowledge of ballet to reap it's rewards. This 30 minute STRETCH will help undo some of the musculoskeletal strain caused by prolonged sitting. This is not half a class - it's the perfect amount of time to accomplish its objective. Using a strategy of dynamic stretches, this class focuses on the specific areas most stressed by sitting: hip flexors, Rectus Femoris (quad) Pectoralis (front of chest and shoulders) and the Trapezius (upper shoulders/back along the spine).

Jazz Roulette

This class is called Jazz Roulette because of Caitlin's vast choreographic repertoire-- which includes every incarnation of Jazz imaginable: Commercial Jazz, Contemporary Jazz, Broadway jazz and Burlesque... (Lyrical Jazz has its own class on Wednesdays 5:30pm). This 90 minute class includes a full technical warm-up and across-the-floor sequences before heading into the combination.  If you are a serious Jazz dancer, you will thrive in this class.

This is Soca!
