Intro to Contemporary dance

Welcome to the world of physical poetry. This is  Contemporary dance!  Popularized over a decade ago by the TV show So You Think You Can Dance, this style of movement is characterized by its expressiveness.  In this Introductory class, you will learn to explore your body's communicative abilities through graceful, large movements (#cardiofitness) that follow the story line in a song (#somuchfun).

Class begins with a 25-minute warm-up that not only prepares you for the choreography, but also helps you gain strength and flexibility. Next up is 10 minutes of across the floor to work on technique and then the final 25 minutes is dedicated to beautiful Contemporary movement! Lovingly taught and choreographed by Lauren! This class is your stepping stone into a genre of dance you will love and enjoy!
