When you have the power, you do the things! Design & Marketing, check. Respond to emails, check. Update the schedule, check. Drink a bottle of wine, check. Irma said you want a real day off? Girl, please. 

Good news is whether you have power or not, the studio definitely does! We will be OPEN tomorrow! So if that cabin fever is making you crazy, you know where you can dance it away.

My eclipse experience in 2 words... Space. Cadet. No, I didn't see one, I turned into one... from showing up to the studio in a panic yesterday morning because I couldn't find my studio key - only to find it a few hours later in the cup holder of my car (my bad Erik for making you roll out of bed and bail me out)… to trying to rinse out my very numb mouth post teeth cleaning and watching the water fly out of my mouth like a toddler with a garden hose (however you are picturing it is exactly how it went down ha)... needless to say it was quite a Moonday.

Dear Dancers, Artistic Athletes & Dreamers,

Today's 101 is short and sweet - mainly because my brain is fried.  2am has become my new bedtime as I try to untwist the knots in my mind since I started writing the teacher training manual for the certification course dance 101 is debuting in January.  What. a. process. I literally feel like my mind gets twisted into a pretzel - or pretzelsssss (plural) - while thinking, cataloging, researching, organizing, editing, writing and re-writing... putting thousands of words (I'm up to 5700) onto paper. I'm not a writer, friends! Some days I'm on the computer for a solid 10 hours (Thank God I teach Dancer's Stretch 4 times a week and can work out the kinks in my lower back from so much sitting!). This is not easy for me. Every evening I feel like I'm in labor - giving birth to this... thing... this... I'm not sure what to call it.
