Dear Dancers, Artistic Athletes & Dreamers,

Today is a very happy day for me! 34 years ago today at 8:03am, I brought a great treasure into this world: my daughter. My thoughts are consumed today by this special occasion - no surprise it's making its way into this 101. What began as a little bundle of big brown eyes and curly hair turned into a lifetime of love, purpose, joy, companionship and support for me. For all the diapers I changed, all the sacrifices I made to put her through school, all the sick days, all the books I read on parenting, all the care I put into raising her and all the times I put her needs ahead of mine... she has returned each and every one in kind as the years have unfolded.

Quote of the week: "oo-oo, are you working on the blog?! It doesn't matter what you're writing about, I just want to read it!" Well damn, Lisa F, thank you! Pretty sure you just upped my writing game... I actually have to think about being funny now. The struggle is real haha. Not to mention the amount of side eye Lola gives me when I run around chasing her with my phone to get the perfect photo each week ha.

Remember when I said I was going to highlight a class every week... I know, liar liar pants on fire. Truth is, there has not been a shortage of things to write about and even though you guys tell me how much you loooooooove my 101's - ain't nobody got time to read a novel on their lunch break. With that being said, I'd like to highlight TWO very different classes (very quickly) that I think you should take:

When you have the power, you do the things! Design & Marketing, check. Respond to emails, check. Update the schedule, check. Drink a bottle of wine, check. Irma said you want a real day off? Girl, please. 

Good news is whether you have power or not, the studio definitely does! We will be OPEN tomorrow! So if that cabin fever is making you crazy, you know where you can dance it away.
