? Dance 101 to close temporarily

Dear dance 101 family,

“Everything we do before a pandemic will seem alarmist.
Everything we do after will seem inadequate.”

– Michael Leavitt

We feel compelled to do our part to help prevent the spread of the COVID 19 virus. There are no reported cases among us and we want to keep it that way.

We care too deeply about the well-being of our community: you, our teachers, staff and ourselves not to take action.  And while our dance classes are a welcome respite from the social distancing and the stress we are all experiencing, we must make this hard decision - because it is the right thing to do.

Both our Atlanta and Alpharetta studios will close after morning classes on Monday, March 16 through Monday March 23 (for now).  As the week progresses, we will make an informed decision to either re-open on Tuesday March 24th (whether completely or in some limited capacity) or remain closed. We will take it one week at a time and will keep you informed via email and social media.

During this difficult time, we hope to count on your continued financial support in order to ensure we have a studio to return to.  Help us take care of our teachers and staff so the studio can remain poised to re-open when the time comes. Please do not cancel or freeze your memberships!

What does this mean for you?

  • We will extend expiration dates on all 30 day passes, workshops and class cards.
  • If you are on a 5, 10 or 20 class/month membership, we will rollover any unused classes onto your next membership cycle.
  • If you are on an unlimited membership, we will discount your next month by 25% of your monthly draft.

All these considerations must be made manually - our system won't allow us to set this up automatically.  Please ask to apply these measures to your account when you return for class.

During our closure we will be glued to the news and stay abreast of updates.  We will be manning the studio phone and emails to the website.  Please send us a text (404-545-8048) or email reply here with any comments, suggestions or questions you may have.

We are also planning to learn how to live stream certain classes (more on this later) to help you through this period.  Although this is something new to us, we're up to the task!--

Cheers to a happier time when we can dance without a care, hug and kiss our friends again and look back at this time as a distant memory.  We will pull through this.
