(alpharetta) I'm writing a book
Posted by Ofelia

Dear Dancers, Artistic Athletes and Dreamers!

I'm writing a book. It's not the book I thought I'd eventually write ... you know, the one my kids keep telling me I need to hammer out (the one that will be dedicated to my daughter Paulina for all those times she plopped a roll of toilet paper on my desk and said "Dry your eyes, Mom. This is going to make a great chapter in your book!" :-))

Rather, what I'm writing is the training manual for the newly minted Dance 101 Teacher Certification course we're hoping to launch January 2018. Before you fall asleep at the thought of reading this book... you should know how very personal it is to me. Although I'm leaving out all the juicy drama, my heart is very vested in this work. It's everything I've learned about teaching: everything I've ever studied, read; every mistake, every lesson I've learned spanning the last 20 years of my life. It's a lot of wisdom to collapse into 30 hours of training, but certainly a worthwhile pursuit. To read about the course click <here>. Details will follow in the next few weeks!

All this to explain why you won't be seeing me at the studio on Mondays for a while. Shana is taking over my classes and working the desk for me so I can use the day to write.  I'm not a trained nor a naturally gifted writer. I need time!!!! Big shout out here to Shana! We are so very lucky to have her - her wonderful personality and phenomenal talent - so hey, Monday dancers! Please give her a warm welcome!

As always, do what you love and watch more of it show up in your life!
