Class: The Ballet Condition

Trina Bordere began her dance training at New Orleans Centre for Creative Arts (NOCCA), where she studied classical ballet, jazz, Horton technique, flamenco and dance history. Her education also includes 3 musical theatre summer intensives with Ann Reinking (Bob Fosse's muse) and the Ailey School as a scholarship student. She later went on to train in ballroom dance (working as an instructor and performer) and has studied west african dance, hip hop, tap and argentine tango.
Trina has performed with contemporary and modern dance companies such as the Harrison Dance Co., ZOETIC, and most recently, T. Lang Dance. Her experience also includes salsa/mambo and latin jazz, which she has performed at events and festivals around the U.S. and abroad over the last 10 years and she served as co-director of Revolu Dance Co. (a latin dance co.).
In addition to her dance career, Trina has been a licensed and certified GYROTONIC and GYROKINESIS instructor for the last 10 years and has been teaching pilates since 2001.
She is excited to share her knowledge and creativity with the students at Dance 101.
