Stretch

An hour-long total, full body stretch class that emphasizes proper placement and form to prevent injury, relieve joint tension, and elongate muscles. The class begins with light stretching and circular movements intended to relax muscles and loosen joints and progresses toward static stretching, holding stretches for 30 seconds to one minute. Full body conditioning and strength exercises are included throughout class to keep the blood pumping and body warm for optimum stretching.

Welcome to an enriching hour of transformation! This class is great for anyone who has not stepped into a Ballet class in quite some time - or never! Lovingly taught by Catherine Smith (who learned Ballet as an adult), the experience begins with 40 minutes of classical ballet barre, interspersed with careful strength training designed to increase muscle memory and tone.
